In El Paso County, no permit is required for a carport or canopy within the confines of local regulations. However, in El Paso City and Horizon City, a permit is typically required for structures in the front of a house and may be recommended depending on neighborhood location, structure size, and placement.

At this time, Black Ox Steel does not directly obtain permits for homeowners. However, we are actively working on a process to pull permits on your behalf in the future. For now, we recommend homeowners secure their own permits, and we’re happy to assist with guidance as needed.
